XTL Transport Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Generalist Location: BC | Full-Time | Department: Human Resources Are you an HR professional who’s not only passionate about people—but also about learning the business from the ground up? We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in the fast-paced world of transportation, distribution, and warehousing. In this role, you won’t just support the people side—you’ll collaborate closely with operations to understand what drives performance, safety, and retention across our terminals. You’ll help us hire smarter, communicate better, and build a workplace culture where everyone can thrive.
Schedule Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
What You’ll Be Doing: Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Lead end-to-end recruitment for drivers, warehouse staff, and office staff
Conduct behavioral interviews, reference checks, and pre-employment coordination
Partner with operations managers to identify hiring needs and onboard new team members efficiently
Employee Relations & Compliance
Act as a resource for employee questions, concerns, and policy interpretation
Support performance management, workplace investigations, and compliance with labour standards (CLC)
Maintain HRIS records and ensure accuracy in WCB and employee documentation
Health, Safety & Culture
Chair the terminal's Health & Safety Committee and ensure compliance with WCB regulations
Promote a culture of safety and respect across warehouse and logistics teams
Drive employee engagement through check-ins, feedback loops, and internal events
Business Partnership
Learn the ins and outs of our distribution and transportation operations
Collaborate with operational leaders to align HR practices with business goals
Support strategic planning around staffing, retention, and workforce development
What You Bring:
A degree in Human Resources or related field
3 years relevant experience in an HR role
A strong sense of curiosity and desire to understand operations
Experience with recruiting is a strong asset
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
A collaborative, adaptable mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
Must be willing to travel and work between our Surrey and Delta locations as needed
